We are delighted to have won a grant of €27,033 for four new Feva boats under the 2023 – Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP). The boats are really needed to support our growing membership and our community promotion of sailing especially in local schools.
Most members don’t have their own boats so rely on the club boats. We have four Feva’s currently so the addition of four more is a tremendous boost to the club. The Feva is an ideal boat as in can be sailed by young and old as a single hander or with a helm and crew. We expect the boats to arrive in early 2025.
The grants are funded by Dept. of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and the National Lottery.
